This TCHC property required a new solar carport structure over an existing surface parking lot. Before finalizing the carport's column and footing layout, our team scanned the site to capture the parking lot geometry, existing grades, and surrounding obstructions with survey-level accuracy — giving the design team a precise base to lay out columns without conflicting with existing site features.

A new retaining wall along the side of this active fire station required careful coordination with the existing building foundation, grade, and buried utilities. We used 3D scanning to document existing site conditions before excavation began, giving the design and construction team a clear, measurable picture of the slope, building line, and site constraints in a tight side-yard work area.

This project involved a structural condition assessment of an aging outdoor stair and boardwalk system built into a sloped, wooded park site. 3D scanning let us capture the full run of stairs, landings, and railings — along with the surrounding grade — in a single site visit, supporting our structural assessment of deteriorated posts, connections, and footings without repeated trips to a hard-to-access outdoor site.
