This project added a two-storey addition and renovation to expand living quarters for resident monks, centred on a two-storey glazed octagonal bay topped with skylights, plus a covered veranda and timber deck. Work began with a full survey and as-built drawings of the existing house, followed by a new layout of residential rooms, an office, bathrooms, a preparation kitchen, and storage — all modelled in BIM through 3D views, elevations, sections, assemblies, and schedules. Our team handled zoning and permitting with the City of Markham, coordinated mechanical and fire alarm consultants, and is providing field reviews through construction.
